Join the Forney Sole Sisters at American National Bank at the corner of Broad and Pinson on Friday, October 31st from 9AM to 5PM for a snack and take advantage of another opportunity to pick up one of their hot items in exchange for a donation. They will be serving free fresh baked goods, while they last.

About the Forney Sole Sisters:

Right here in Forney, Texas are some of the strongest, bravest, most fearless people you will ever meet, women, men, whole families who are fighting breast cancer and a few of their supporters, the Forney Sole Sisters. The Sole Sisters are a team of nine women, six of whom will be participating in the 2008 Breast Cancer 3 Day.

The 3 Day is a 60 mile walk over the course of three days which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust. Over the last three years the Sole Sisters have participated in this event. Starting as a team of two, Renee Lee and Sheri Ludwigs, the Sole Sisters now include team members, Mary Baker, Susan Ponder, Shannon Holt-Whiddon, Rebecca Trotter, Ashley Tarleton, Michelle Christian and Amy Moore. The Sole Sisters are joined at the 3 Day by other teams and individuals resulting in an impressive field of men and women fighting the elements, terrain and traffic of North Texas to walk every step of this 60 miles.
