Forney, Texas - 'Twenty Peaceful Minutes East of Downtown Dallas'

Reminder: Important Meeting for Area Residents Tonight @ 6:30PM

Just a quick reminder – the Forney EDC, City of Forney and UT-Arlington School of Urban & Public Affairs invites all residents of the Forney area to an important, interactive community workshop this evening, Monday, March 16th, starting at 6:30PM. Door prizes will be given out as well as light refreshments, so please join us at 6:30PM at the First United Methodist Church on Broad Street (click for map and directions).

The purpose of the workshop is to gather input from stakeholders – the residents of Forney and surrounding areas – regarding the development, redevelopment and expansion of downtown Forney, recently named “Heritage Towne Center.” The workshop is not just limited to residents living within city limits – anyone with an interest in downtown Forney is invited, including residents from local communities such as Travis Ranch, Windmill Farms and Heartland. This workshop will kick off a months-long process through which professors, researchers and students from UTA’s School of Urban & Public Affairs will study Forney’s Heritage Towne Center and make a series of recommendations concerning the future of Downtown Forney.

I hope to see you there!
