Brent Johnson Takes Oath as New Deputy Constable
Story and photo by Cary Griffin, Forney Messenger
On Wednesday, May 27, Brent Johnson took the oath of office as a deputy constable with the office of Kaufman County Precinct 2 Constable Joe Don Law.
Justice of the Peace Don T. Cates administered the oath to Mr. Johnson.
Being a deputy constable runs in Johnson’s family. He has one brother who is a deputy constable in Precinct 3, Dallas, and another brother who is a deputy constable in Precinct 4, Dallas.
Deputy Constable Johnson replaces Deputy Constable Gordon, who has resigned. Johnson’s deputation boosts the number of deputy constables in Kaufman County Precinct 2 back to two.
