The Forney Messenger, Forney’s oldest and only print newspaper has been in continuous operation for over 113 years. The Messenger has served our community with fair and balanced news coverage ever since the first issue was printed on April 16, 1896 by M. J. Cox.

Twenty Peaceful Minutes (20PM) has provided the residents of Forney and the surrounding area with news and discussion on the web since the summer of 2006.  With over 1,000 registered users on the site’s discussion forum, 20PM has quickly become the leading online source of news and discussion concerning Forney.

Seeing a unique opportunity to provide the residents of Forney with the fair, unbiased news they deserve, the Forney Messenger and Twenty Peaceful Minutes are excited to announce a partnership that will place content from the print issues of the Messenger on the Twenty Peaceful Minutes website and vice-versa.

Fans of Twenty Peaceful Minutes will be glad to know that the editors of both media outlets will retain complete creative and editorial control over their respective publications, so you will continue to find the types of articles and stories we’ve provided over the past 3 years here on 20PM. However, now you will also be able to read the latest news from our local schools, civic groups and other organizations courtesy of the Forney Messenger  without ever leaving Twenty Peaceful Minutes!
