Hunters Glen kicks off summer with block party

Story and photos Cary L. Griffin, Forney Messenger.

The 2009 summer season got underway at 6 p. m. Sunday evening with a gathering of neighbors in Hunters Glen, a subdivision located off Windy Lane just east of Forney.

Those attending the block party enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs, barbecue, and drinks. There was also live entertainment, and carriage rides were provided by a representative of the company that provides carriage rides in Dallas’ West End. In addition, Forney firefighters brought a pumper from the Forney Fire Department’s Windy Lane substation for inspection by the young and the simply curious.
