Traffic Stop Nets Two Arrests and Seizure of Methamphetamine
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information:
Kaufman, Texas-June 22, 2009
Dana Lynn Crow W/F age 33, of Kemp, Texas, and Andrew Jeffrey Myrick W/M age 46 of Kemp, Texas, were arrested for possession of methamphetamines.
Kaufman County Deputies K. Ketchum and R. McGee stopped a 1992 Nissan Sentra traveling west bound on Highway 175 and FM 148 east of Crandall Texas for a traffic violation. Inside the vehicle the deputies located 19.6 grams of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $2000.00.
Both Crow and Myrick were transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center where they were charged with the offense of possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $50,000 for Myrick and $25,000 for Crow.
Myrick was previously arrested on June 20, 2009 by Kemp Police Department for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set on the June 20th charge at $1500.00. He was released after posting the $1500.00 bond.
