The Forney Police Department has released the following information regarding a possible assault on a 3-year-old child last week:

“FORNEY POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO THE WELFARE CONCERN OF A 3 YEAR OLD BOY ON FRIDAY, JUNE 26TH, 2009. THE OFFICERS MET WITH COMPLAINANTS ON SCENE AND AFTER SEEING THE CHILD, CONTACTED EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. THE CHILD WAS TRANSPORTED TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL IN DALLAS AND CHILD PROTECTION SERVICES WERE CONTACTED. THE CHILD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE HOUSEHOLD BY CPS AND AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN STARTED CONCERNING THIS INCIDENT. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THIS MATTER IS ASKED TO CALL LT. WILLIAMS AT 972-552-3932.”

Further details have not been released, but FPD did release this as an “AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, MINOR”.
