I understand completely.  I just know that most folks want to have a beverage with their food.  Folks had to buy their food, juggle it across the parking lot and get their beverages from the pavillion set up for that purpose after having to stand in yet another line.

Any possibilities we could have some pop-up canopies and tables and chairs set up halfway between the two areas so people can have a complete meal?   I would be willing to work the auxiliary beverage center.

As a parent, I appreciate the safety concerns regarding the smokers.  Is there any way we could rent some portable fencing to surround the smokers?
Renting Equipment takes away from the main idea of the event, the idea behind the event is there is No Cost going out, everything is donations.  We want to continue that legacy that we started with and bringing the community together by merely everyone wanting to volunteer time or equipment.    That is why we will continue to have the smokers in the back, no need for fencing.  Gonzo has volunteers that are able to help with the monitoring of the smokers..

Coach, you know you have me for heading up the volunteer cooking efforts again this year.  I can ask Doug if we can get the Cummins smoker again.  We need to start lining up sponsors for the food stuff early this year, since we have the time.

Have you been in touch with David at Brookshire's yet?  He is playing golf with Cowboy and I, and maybe Trent Brookshire, for the golf tourney so we definitely have his ear.

I'm planning on helping Gonzo again with the cooking if he needs me.  ;)
