We have been to Napoli's twice . . . .nice little place. . . people really should give these mom and pop places a try . . . . we have been to several of them.

Taxes should be used for NEEDS not wants.  You WANT something extra/special pay for it yourself, don't share the burden with other homeowners.  Why should people's taxes be so high and unaffordable?

Ok ... guess I have to wait on more sit down chain type restaurants. It IS good to remember to visit the locally owned places.  They are all very good. I like supporting "mom & pop" businesses when I can.  Toscana is very nice.... of course Nappolis is always a good bet.  In fact .. the mom and pop type businesses is what gives Forney some of its charm.  I noticed yesterday that Overtime is going to re open as Time Out Sports Cafe.  Anything about THAT?!!!

So I assume this is not Lester and the other partner he had lined up that the Post was so quick to report on?  I did think about that this weekend that the initial weekend had passed and still nothing.

I heard just last night that Grandma's Chicken isn't Grandma's Chicken anymore....new concept and menu.   Anyone know about this recent change?

Yes, it's no longer Grandmas.  It Fat Mack's or something like that.  The way they do the menu is a little odd, but it's no more expensive than what Grandmas was.  DH complained that the chicken was way too dry.  We probably won't go back there.

My family thinks I'm crazy when I tell them Chicken Express is coming but if Chicken Express closed on the land back in mid-November, shouldn't there be a "Coming Soon" sign up somewhere, or have I missed it. The only time I drive by that area is when it is 6:30 in morning or 10:00 at night.

Teacherdude I'm with you, thinking Chicken Express would have a sign somewhere.

  Going back to earlier post I like the mom and pop places here in town but, all we have is 2 Bar-food, 3-4 Mexican and 2 Italian.  All of which are OK but all are also not so healthy and pretty much the same stuff from place to place.  Forney needs a Deli, Salad Bar type place, Chiloso's, something diffrent.  I hate going to Mesquite and Rockwall.

 I want to keep my dollars here support our schools, police and fire and city projects but I do not do that when I take my tax dollars out of the city. I am so sick of Chilli's food and poor service I can't even tell you how sick I am.  I'M PLEADING....MORE RESTURANTS PLEASE!!!!!!!!
