Although I know what your saying BigC, I'm starting to think that what some of these posters are saying MIGHT make them related. It's starting to sound like when the police were called in for the child, upon subsequent investigation... it opened a huge can of worms and brought the whole house down.
So I still don't know why this can only got opened AFTER the 'said' event.
Can you newbies tell me if this event w the child was a FIRST time?

Wow alot of money hungry people....  Don't any of you people understand that had it not of been for a Horrible event taking place with this innocent child all of you could have been blown up?  Yes you want your money back, and I'm sure this family of the child wants there's back too.  Who's going to be around to explain to this child why he was beaten so horribly?  Wouldn't all of you rather be out some cash then having your parents, husband's, an other family memebers explaining to your child why they got the new house, car, clothes etc as it was from your life insurance policy that they collected on when you were blown up at the tanning salon.  Cut your losses, an be thankful to be alive and ask around to see what you can do to help this child out.  I'm sure if you were to focus more engery on positive things other than your loss of 50-100.00 for your tanning sessions something good will prevail.....

Do you understand that its not an either/or proposition?  Customers can be dismayed about being shafted out of prepaid services when a business closes its down almost overnight.  Those same people can also be dismayed to hear there may have been illegal activities going on there (we can only speculate at this point).  Those same people can also be dismayed to hear about allegations of child abuse.  Crimes may or may not have occurred - if these things happened and the guy is convicted of these crimes he will pay the price.  No one wants to hear about such terrible things happening to a child.

You do realize that nobody on here did anything harmful to anybody?

That right there is a bizarre sentence.

How many kids that lose a parent get a "new house, car, clothes etc." from a life insurance policy?  I know for a fact that my husband would not be explaining any such thing to my dd. . . . I'm thinking he would be trying to explain why God allowed me to be taken . . . giving words of comfort that even though mommy is gone she will always live in our hearts, and that they will make it through these difficult times, etc. etc.

Since I'm not one to mince words or beat around the bush . . . . . you sound very money hungry . . . . not the folks wanting a refund of their money for services that were never provided to them.

I know OS.. my family would certainly not be buying those things w my life ins money either - they would be paying for funeral, and maybe providing for the future a lil' bit...
not that I'm worth much (policy wise).

Tell me about it . . . funerals are expensive . . . and this thread is already so bizarre . . . I'm just going to go with it. . . . just the other day . . . and I don' remember what got us onto the topic. . . . I told dd. . . when it comes time for my funeral remind your dad that I wanted to go "cheap" . . . don't go spending alot of money on a coffin that is gonna go in the ground. . . . and then I turned to dh and told him . . . be sure to cremate me . . . I think it is cheaper. . . then he mentioned something about spreading my ashes. . . I told him not to I don't want to be "scattered" everywhere . . . just keep me in a box. . . . ROFL!

And as a side note . . . I expect ya'll 20PM regulars to say nice things about me when I'm gone. . . . lol. . . . don't get too sappy though. . . be sure some of ya'll say some fun lovin' sarcastic things. . . . okay?

Dude, you live in Windmill Farms. Go outside and walk 10 feet in any direction.

I would like tell everyone that nobody other than D's family & friends knew about the items in the salon until he was arrested,an he was arrested for hurting a child and then the DEA & ATF moved in.  Ya'll are pointing fingers in the wrong direction.  As for a fund it was just an idea to get ya'll in a better position and to stop thinking about ya'lls loss of money.....

So what your saying is if Devon & his Mother filed bankruptcy on the business it's all good?  It's wash at that point.  Good idea for his Mother.

What I'm saying is = Be thankful to be alive, an walk away or do the foot work with your bank an get your money back.  Don't be lazy stay on it, an your bank will give it back.....  Get off of here an stop complaining an go to your bank in person, get the forms, and fill them out!

What should this little boy do to re-coup his mental an physical damage?  Any idea's?  I guessing at this point this little one saved a lot of lives!

i dont understand how the child being abused will be any better and less of an issue if we dont get our rightfully owed money back!  you really have no point in what you're saying!  they're two completely separate issues and me getting my $65 back is not going to be any reason that the child did or didnt get abused by some sick-o monster!  devon did that!  not me and my $65.

i am starting to wonder if this person posting this isn't devon's mom....seems too defensive in my opinion, not to be!

so one question...say you paid someone $25,000 for a new vehicle and it gets delivered to your house and its a hunk of junk....maybe worth $500...but the person that you bought it from just got arrested for beating his wife and child and they were in the hospital.  sure its a horribly sad situation, and your heart breaks, but would you quietly just let your $25,000 get thrown away and "cut your losses?"

and i know your response is going to be "we're talking $65 not $25,000" but its the same in principle...who are you to say that i am not deserved my $65 back?  you don't know me or anything about me (or anyone on here that is entitled to thier money back) so $65 to me might be a lot of money....but even if it was $1 and i wanted it refunded, then thats my perrogative....

I'M NO RELATION TO D PERIOD.  NEVER SAID YOU COULDN'T GET NOR SHOULD YOU NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.  JUST SAYING HAD THIS HAVE NEVER HAPPENED WITH THE CHILD NO-BODY WOULD OF HAD A CLUE WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THAT SALON.

I'M NOT TAKING HIS SIDE OR HIS MOTHERS AS WHAT HAS HAPPENED IS UN-JUST FOR EVERYONE (THE CHILD, AN CUSTOMERS ONLY)...  I FREAKED OUT WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS TANNING IN A SALON WHERE BOMBS WERE BEING MADE....

SugarBear, I think everyone is freaking out, and we all understand about the child, and I still have not heard if they child is safe and OK.  At this point, the people that were screwed out of their money would like it back, rather than thinking that the funds that they will not fight for are going to the Scums.  In my opinion so be it if they file Bankruptcy, in my opinon I hope they rot in jail.  As for the mother she knew what her son was doing and she was turning a blind eye to it...  RN forking over 300k, sounds fishy enough, let alone to the Crock that probably help obtain some of the money.  BTW, this is my opinion, and I have that right to express it....

Coach your right on all of this:)  The little boy is doing better.  He did spend weeks in the hospital and is with family and if god is willing he will continue to be safe, protected, and loved by his family.

Everyone needs to get together as a group and file a suit against Sherry as that is the true owner and where it can happen.  D, really needs to own up to his faults and rot just as you've said.

The little boy didn't happen to attend a local day care that had a "moltave cocktail" thrown through their door?  "MAYBE" someone at a day care reported the injuries they saw on the boy and then were retaliated against.....just wondering if there could be some sick connection.
