High School today
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:57:36 pm »
Does anyone know what was happening at Forney High School this morning?  I drove by there at 11:30am, and there were TONS of cars leaving, with the sheriffs dept directing traffic.  They were also directing traffic at 548 and 741.  When I drove back by about 10 minutes later, there were about 6 sheriffs that pulled out in front of me.   Just curious

They all got dismissed at the same time for lunch @ 11:30a...so that's why you saw all the cars. . .

They shoulda had it catered (like in years past).

Gee, I can think of a great pizza place in town that caters all of our work functions...... :)

Sadly, under heavy budget constraints, usually one of the first things to go is the catering.

and if they had catered it, 15 ppl on here would have been bitching about their tax dollars feeding teachers in addition to their salaries.  THAT would have gotten ugly.

NAH. . . . the Kaufman County Improvement Parks District is center stage  ;)

Ain't that the truth!

Ah, I remember those in-service days. One of the few things I don't miss from my departure from the classroom.

Quick! Someone tell the district! They could get away with anything. The possibilities could be unlimited!  :D

I was having fun with Kristie.  Mr. Jims does all our training events at my current employer.

In years past FISD would have steak and baked potato dinners from I believe it was Eddie Dean.  It was good, whoever it was. So I guess the breakfasts have gone by the wayside too, eh?

FUMC hosted the 30th annual FISD Faculty breakfast this morning.   They were expecting a big turnout.   I haven't heard how it went though.

Some luncheons are put on by the PTO of the school. . . . at least in elementary schools.
