Stolen Equipment, of Handy Dan....
« on: August 13, 2009, 07:49:08 am »
Stolen Truck, Trailer & EquipmentShare
is thinking that our truck & trailer is close stashed near by...here is how I think it went down..Dan left Lowe's his receipt says 5:18 pm he drove the back way down Ridge Crest to Mustang Creek parked at a customers house basically at Starlight... & Tumbleweed went inside mounted a ceiling fan bracket and went outside when he calledl 9-1-1 at 5:42pm. This is 22 minutes people...he was being watched or followed. I received a call from a close friend a Forney City employee at 5:47 that thought he had just seen it up town right before he heard the news on the scanner a minute or 2 before calling and I had Dan in the car with me driving searching by 5:51.
Not to mention the truck is tricky to start never smooth and he told me the door handle driver's side on the inside doesn't work so you have to reach outside to open it to get out. I don't think that a thief would have seen this as an opportunity in a few words it was preplanned I believe. I don't know if Dan was the intended target but who ever did this I think had somewhere to take it, stash it, hide it...I don't think pulling this trailer with all the equipment they would have tackled traffic this time of day and tried to get to the highway.
This is what is rollin' 98 White Chevy 2500 hard working mans truck no a/c...with a nice custom made black mowing trailer and on it were 2 John Deere zero turn riding mowers, 2 Toro push mowers, 1 Xmark push/stand behind mower, several redmax weed eaters, back pack blowers, 1 John Deere back pack blower, redmax stick edger, pole saw, trimmers, bolt cutters, clippers, toolbox with plumbing kit, electrical kit, ice chest with new ice, water fruit punch gatorade and his 3 mowing hats on the dash :(
If anyone hears or sees anything please call, email or contact the Forney PD they are all aware....Please please please pray as we still have not come close to recovering from someone taking all power tools 14 months ago from his handyman trailer out of our backyard....
No sleep for the po' man.....
Please tell everyone you know because people like this usually talk and this is the second time don't know if I can just let it go.....
Oh yeah I will probably be posting friendly reminders tell we figure out what to do so I feel better so I now if your my friend you can deal with seeing it more than once.....
Thanks and Love to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Dan personally, as well as his wife Amy.  Great friends of ours and as good a people as you will ever meet.  Dan is Mrs. Zo's personal rescue patrol.  (Inside joke.)

Yes, the story is that Dan's truck got stolen yesterday with his trailer and all equipment on it.  Lots of dollars wrapped up in there, not to mention the ability to make a living.  Dan was hit 14 months ago at home and they got a ton of expensive tools.

I am just sick over this for Dan, Amy and the kids.  Really, really tough.  If I honestly knew how to do it, I would put together a fundraiser for Dan and Amy.  If there was ever a deserving couple, they are it.

I am really sorry to hear that. Not to mention twice? Really? That would have my hackles up so badly. I swear the world just has some really rotten people in it. I hope the police recover their stuff this time.

I could hardly sleep last night after I heard about Dan's truck and equipment being stolen.  It is just heart breaking.

I have know Dan since he was about 5 years.  He has ALWAYS been a good and hard working person.  He has been working most of his life and has always treated people fairly and with respect.  He and his family for sure don't deserve this.  I hope and pray that whoever committed this crime against these good people will be apprehended and punished.

We all need to pay attention to what is going on around us at all times and report anything you even think looks wrong.  Better safe than sorry.

ROFLMAO!  I copied and pasted while on my BlackBerry in the Chicken Express Drive Thru.  Obviously, something got lost in translation.  I will fix it.

The short story is Madres is doing an all day fundraiser Saturday for Dan and Amy.  If you don't go eat there Saturday, you are for child abuse and you are money hungry.
