HELP HANNAH
~Fundraiser~

Hannah Kessner, daughter of Danny & Michelle Kessner of Forney, is a beautiful 4 year old that has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a congenital defect (present at birth) in the area of the back of the head where the brain and spinal cord connect. Basically, what is happening is her brain is sinking into her spinal cord. The family just found out last week after an MRI.  Hannah had been complaining of headaches and vomiting, which are symptoms; and now the family is overwhelmed emotionally and financially to say the least. They have also learned that medical insurance will only cover a portion of the brain surgery required to repair the defect, and they have an estimated $7000 out of pocket expense so far.

Please help Hannah and her family by donating in any of the following ways:

Donate directly to the Hannah Kessner Account:

Hannah Kessner "Donations"
First National Bank of Forney
P.O. Box 3269
Forney , TX 75126
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Forney Chick-fil-A
Saturday, May 31st ALL DAY
Please ASK that your receipt go to Hannah
Otherwise your purchase won't be counted in the fundraiser.
A portion of your purchase will go toward helping Hannah's medical costs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Come visit the Hannah Kessner Bake Sale Booth at the Celebration of Youth Sports on May 31 from 2pm - 8pm. The booth will be in the parking lot at Mustang Crossing Shopping Center, located behind National Tire and Battery and East of Lowe's. Lots of homemade cakes, cookies, brownies, breads, etc. for sale...great prizes to raffle. **BROOKSHIRES is donating ALL the dry ingredients for our bakers!!!  All proceeds will be donated to the Kessner Family Fund at The First National Bank of Forney.

I've attached the flyer that is being posted in the community. Such a precious little girl.

Is there any way to contact the family?  An email address would be perfect.  I'm just curious what neurologists  they ave dealt with and see if there is any other ways I can help.  This is very sad.

Does anyone know how to donate directly to the family?  I would rather they got the whole amount I would spend at Chick-Fil-A.  No offense to Chick-Fil-A.  Also, maybe I could use some food pantry contacts to scrape together some money.  She will certainly go on every prayer list I have access to.

Let me know!

Thanks!

We have now established an account for direct benefit of the Kessner Family at First National Bank Forney, if anyone would like to make donations.

I don't exactly have a lot of money to give away, but I can bake/cook like crazy, what about doing a bake sale? Would Walmart be willing to let us setup outside and sell our baked goods for her family's cause?

I would be willing to donate booth space at our Celebration of Youth Sports to anyone who wants to have a bake sale there to benefit little Hannah. We will have a lot of families coming through so you should sell a lot of stuff! Just let me know.

That's the only thing I don't like about Chick-Fil-A fundraisers - if you don't tell them they don't donate. Why can't they just donate a portion of the day's receipts?

My thoughts and prayers will be with the family. The one positive thing is that they can fix this.

Oh, unfortunately I don't know if I can do it. I can definately bake away for it, but manning a booth that day would be out for me. I am practicing my softball team that afternoon and that evening is for my wife only (5 year anniv.). I will see about getting a hold of Trent Brookshire, maybe he would be willing to let us set up out front for a day and sell baked goods for the Kessner family.

I have a table (maybe two) we can use, does anyone have one of those pop-up shelters that they could donate for use for one day? I'll have to see about some big coolers, because I'll be glad to sell my chocolate blackout cakes, but they have to be kept cool. Let me work on details for the next couple of days and see what I can come up with.

I have a pop-up shelter that can be used that day (5/31).  I can also bake something.

If I put together a bake sale perhaps at Brookeshires or Walmart, it won't be on the 31st, perhaps the 1st or the following weekend? But I'd bake away for anyone that does want to put together a booth and man it for the 31st!
