I just wan to say, from everyone involved thank you for donating to the Help Hannah fund. We had the privilege of meeting Hannah today and she is a very very sweet little girl. The event in the Lucky's parking lot was unbelievable and we would like to thank Katiev for setting everything up. The bake sale today raised a grand total of $1,136.40 for Hannah and from what we've heard the other fund raisers going on around town are raising some hefty funds as well! Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to the bake sale! I'm glad I could be apart of such a great cause. Also, if you like hard rock, there were two bands today that blew my face off. Check out One Minute Halo and Shatter Me. Both bands, especially One Minute Halo were unbelievable. I don't say that about bands just because they participate in such events, I say it because I mean it. I'll probably post them up in another thread as well. *headbangs*

It was well worth it to me. Hannah still has a long fight ahead of her. This one hit home for me because I too have had brain surgery twice. I don't remember the first one because I was only 18 months old but I remember the one at 13 very very well. I went into it with unlimited optimism and just knew everything would work out fine. There were complications during the surgery however and they were near fatal. But, I made it through and suffered some unbelievable discomfort throughout that period in the hospital but it is literally the best thing that has ever happened to me. We have some great great surgeons in Dallas and she will be in good hands but she will be in my prayers throughout her process and I'm glad that I had a chane to help her family atleast lessen the burden they have to go through during such a stressful time.

Voice of reason agrees One Minute Halo rocked my world today. I give them more props than any other band for one reason: they have the opportunity to be a MASSIVE metal band... but they stick to their message of God and Christ evfen though it is probably a limiting factor in their "mainstream" success. If anyone has any ideas on how to help them out with the van I'm up for suggestions. I'm thinkin me and WFShaun can find some beefier rear springs to help support that trailer they're towing... what do you think? http://www.myspace.com/oneminutehalo

Man, I am all for it. I told them how absolutely bad arse they were tonight while they were in Lucky's and they seemed like very cool dudes. They are definitely on my radar from now on.

PM me if you're really interested. I'm sure we can find a stronger rear suspension off a truck that shared the same platform somewhere. Probably be a quick swap too.

I don't remember who all won what but you are responsible for Nate's wife's feet and whoever she chooses to bring with her.

They spoke about it on stage. Said with the trailer on you think you are taking off in an airplane because it lowers the rear so bad. I asked them afterword and they said the power was ok just nearly dragged the butt of the van on the ground. Its an older (90's) van that looked like it may share a platform with a long bed pickup truck. I will have to ask them for more info on it.

I won the spiderman ride-on for the little one....not sure who won the purse. I think that one of Hannah's family members won the silent auction for the picture though! I really wish I could have been there to meet Hannah! But did get to meet and talk with her dad. He was really appreciative for all of our efforts! THANKS to EVERYONE that was involved in ANY and EVERY way today!!!! There are so many kudos I just don't know where to begin!!! All the donations and hard work to get this together in such short notice REALLY paid off!!
