I wanted to start a thread (maybe needs to be a sticky Josh?) about any known fireworks celebrations for this year!? I don't care about who has great deals on fireworks or anything like that (nor do I want this to be a thread about neighbors shooting fireworks). I'm looking for specific information (location and time) for the major fireworks shows. I know Garland always has one and such, so please post it up here and lets find out where we can go to watch the beautiful displays around the metroplex! Anyone know if Forney is doing a fireworks show this year? I haven't heard much (probably should check their website ) and I'd like to know to make plans for a tailgate party if they are!

That would make sense, they held it there last year and you could park in the HS parking lot to view it. I'm hoping that's what they do again this year, but there is NOTHING on their website or the chamber of commerce site about a fireworks display this year.

I believe it was in the Messenger last week that the Fireworks in Fox Hollow will be held on Thursday, July 3rd. Parking would be available at the High School and at the church. I don't recall the exact time, but I would guess somewhere between 9:00 - 9:30....just after dark basically. It will probably be in the paper again this week and I will try to pay closer attention. :-)

They just posted it on the City of Forney website:
