That's two -positives- for Geico - PLUS; (Our local Insurance professionals seem to think they are OK at least, and have a good rating)

OK - I checked PROGRESSIVE - their quote was even better then GEICO, AND it was so easy "a caveman could do it" - and THAT is supposed to be Geico!
REally - it was very easy to do the quote.

Thanks everyone for help and advice.... I'm gonna make 2 more calls and pick something by end of Monday.

I would not even remotely consider a company that doesn't have an A- or better rating with AM Best.

Do your research on any company, cheap or not.

Travelers has an A+ rating.

They were the cheapest and we looked at Geico, Progressive, Allstate, etc

I know this topic is old but....

We've used Geico forever, I've only had one claim ( I say that carefully LOL). The wind blew MY door into a freaking Volvo, and you might know the woman was sitting IN the car, btw this happened IN Forney, just after we moved here! LOL So, of course she was all pissy and worried that her hubby was going to be SO MAD..blah blah blah. We swapped information etc. Within a couple days Geico called me, the lady was EXTREMELY nice and really joked off the whole thing! The cost of the damage $18.95! LOL I bet that Volvo lady was FLOORED! LOL My insurance of course was not affected at all by this. I have contacted Geico online MANY times, just recently to let them know our payment would be late so that they could note our account. We have done this at least 3 times now, and they have been graciously understanding...and have always responded promptly.

Just changed to Geico last week. Was with a company for 9 years and my premiums just kept going up and up. No claims at all. We will call this company "EVERY PROVENCE." Had home and auto with them and they said I was getting a dual policy discount. Geico was $50.00 less a month on my Auto and was able to do my Home as well through a 3rd party. ASI, I think is the name. My Home owners is 250.00 less a year. For me it was a no brainier. Geico was the way to go. And yes to all those that may ask I have the same coverage levels. Actually more on my Home owners now than with Every Provence. One last thing I checked with two diffrent local agents because I wanted to keep my money here in Forney. I will say that they were about equal with Geico on the auto. However, the Home Owners they were not really even close.

If you don't qualify for USAA, then give our local guy at Allstate a chance. I was with Geico for the car & some no-name for the house. I sent it all to Chad Neptune & he saved me a lot of money.

Also, if I have a problem, I know where he is to put my hands around his neck.
