REVIEW: Boomerjack's Grill & Bar (Terrell)
« on: October 27, 2011, 03:33:32 PM »
My son and I went there last night for the first time.  We decided to go because the flyer we got in the mail (like the Val-Pak) where it offered BOGO free Entrees and the pictures made it look like a TGI Fridays.

I wish I could say something positive, but I can't.  The service was lousy -- 3 waitresses to cover 10 tables and they chose to stand behind the bar & chat.  The food was cold after being served 25 mins after we ordered it.

Asking for the manager, he was there but wouldn't come out of the back.  When I asked, 3 other tables there asked to see him/her too -- they were having the same issues that I was.  They had been there 40 mins and didn't even get their food yet.

We waited another 5 mins for the manager and the waitresses just told us he wasn't coming out.  Us and the three other tables just left (there was one guy drinking at the bar that stayed).  I left a $5 on the table to cover our Dr. Peppers.

Bad Bad Bad place & we'll never be back.

I dunno why, but I'm always cautious of places that have Bar & Grill added to their name. Two great concepts, yet rarely ever executed right.

We used that coupon last week.  They have excellent fried pickles, and the hot wings are great.  The service is always bad bad bad!  And my margarita was horrible.  They just used tequila and that margarita mix you buy at Walmart.  I actually saw it on the countertop.

I hardly ever dine in there, maybe a couple of times over the last few years.  Now I have enjoyed the Margaritas you speak of when they were served at a dollar each.   ^thumbs

However, I have used their delivery a lot over the years and the food was always good and hot and I have never had any complaints about the food.  I do remember the service not being so great on one visit, but once again, never a problem with the food or the delivery.  I need to check out my valpak!

We ordered fried pickles also.  Gave 'em to us cold.  The next time we could get the waitress over there was when she was bringing our cold entrees too....she left to go get us silverware & napkins and after 5 mins, I went to the bar to break up their chat.

I really need to go back there to get the manager's name & number to post here.  He really seemed like such a chicken sh*t to not come speak to the unhappy customers (me & the others).

Wow, that's interesting.  Wife and I have been there several times and we loved it each time.  We use to visit the one in Mesquite and it was great as well.  It has been over a year since we have been there, so I wonder what has changed.  That's a bummer, because their fries were always really good and the wings were decent, but a little small.

The last time we were there was about a year ago. When my food came out wrong and I said something the waitress asked me what I wanted her to do about it... I told her I wanted her to keep it and take it off my bill. We haven't been back. :o
