Wade Gent Announces His Candidacy for State Representative, District 4

The Athens Review published a piece yesterday in which Wade Gent, Forney resident, announced his intention to run for the office of State Representative for District 4, which represents Kaufman County as well as Henderson County. He will be competing in the March Republican Primary against incumbent representative, Betty Brown.

Election Results

No word if this is final, and I’m sure there’s still some mail-in, provisional, etc. ballots to be counted, but the current counts from the county are:

For: 1,520 (60.10%)
Against: 1,009 (39.90%)
Mayor
Grooms: 762 (60.00%)
Weatherford: 508 (40.00%)
