Early TAKS Testing Results Show Significant Improvement at All Forney ISD Schools
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) began releasing the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) testing results on Friday, May 15, and the preliminary review of the numbers suggest that Forney ISD will be rated a Recognized district for 2009.

Warrant Issued for Local School Board Trustee Tony Fitzgerald
A warrant has been issued for local school board trustee, Tony Fitzgerald. Sources indicate that the warrant is related to a complaint received on January 20th, 2009 from a local bank concerning attempted forgery and/or counterfeiting.

FHS Band Named Outstanding Band at Mesquite Marching Festival
